Ultraviolet Devices Inc. (UVDI), a developer of advanced ultraviolet disinfection technology, has launched its new V-MIX upper-room air disinfection technology and it will be featured at the AHR Expo in Las Vegas.
Ideal for healthcare facilities, V-MIX targets the mixed air within the room itself using a concentrated, horizontal beam of UV-C light that inactivates airborne viruses (including influenza, measles and SARS-CoV-2), bacteria (like tuberculosis), and fungi as they circulate through the disinfection zone. Whether as an enhancement to supplied air systems or as a standalone option in occupied spaces, V-MIX expands UVDI’s portfolio of options for UV-C disinfection solutions.
UVDI will be displaying the V-MIX technology at its booth (#C2416) on the AHR Expo floor. The AHR Expo brings the entire HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) industry together to showcase cutting-edge products and technologies, gain insights from industry leaders, foster cross-disciplinary collaboration, and drive business growth.
Dr. Ashish Mathur, UVDI’s vice president of innovation and technology, will also be giving a presentation on V-MIX and upper air technology at one of the New Product Theaters during the AHR Expo on Monday, February 2 from 3:45pm to 4:05pm in Theater A located between the exhibits and the food court on Level 1, South Building.
“We’re excited to be sharing the latest addition to our air disinfection portfolio, V-MIX, at the AHR Expo this year,” said Peter Veloz, UVDI’s CEO. “V-MIX is an easy-to-implement, effective solution that functions well as a standalone fixture or to enhance multi-layered strategies to control airborne transmission of harmful microorganisms. It’s UVDI’s mission to provide innovative ultraviolet technology to clean the air and surfaces where we work, live and play – and V-MIX is a great addition to that portfolio.”
V-MIX adheres to CDC and NIOSH guidelines, ensuring it meets rigorous safety and performance standards.
