The objective of World Wide Pressure Injury Prevention Day is to increase awareness about pressure injury prevention and to educate the public on this topic. NPIAP has developed an extensive media materials package, appropriate for all health care settings and organizations, which is available below.

One way to raise awareness about pressure injury prevention is by contacting the governor of your state and requesting the issuance of a proclamation. A proclamation is an honorary announcement recognizing the importance of an event to the general public.
