New partnership brings sterile processing staff, instrument reprocessing and equipment maintenance under one integrated approach
Case delays, sterile processing staffing gaps and survey readiness are among the challenges a new partnership between Surgical Solutions and Renovo Solutions aims to address.
Surgical Solutions, which provides on-site surgical support services, has partnered with Renovo Solutions, an independent provider of healthcare technology management (HTM), biomedical and imaging services. The partnership combines Surgical Solutions’ ISO 9001-certified sterile processing and perioperative services with Renovo’s HTM programs and surgical equipment repair capabilities to support operating rooms (ORs) and sterile processing departments (SPDs).
“This collaboration represents a powerful opportunity to solve some of the toughest challenges hospitals face today,” said Ben Schraeder, senior vice president of strategy at Surgical Solutions. “By combining our strengths, we are able to support both the clinical and technical sides of the OR and SPD, ultimately improving efficiency, compliance and patient outcomes.”
Support for the OR and SPD
The companies say the partnership is designed to help hospitals and health systems prevent case delays and keep OR workflows on schedule for on-time starts. It also targets common pressure points in sterile processing and perioperative services, including:
- Staffing: filling gaps with SPD and OR support staff who hold the certified registered central service technician (CRCST) credential
- Infection prevention: reducing infection risk through improved instrument reprocessing
- Survey readiness: strengthening compliance and readiness for Joint Commission and DNV surveys
- Equipment reliability: keeping surgical equipment working and reducing downtime
- Cost: easing financial pressure through cost-efficient solutions with guaranteed savings
Renovo clients will have access to the expanded staffing, sterile processing services and procedural expertise through the partnership.
“This partnership allows us to deliver even more value to our clients by uniting Renovo’s technology-driven HTM programs with Surgical Solutions’ deep expertise in the surgical ecosystem,” said Matt Forrest, vice president of business development at Renovo Solutions. “It’s about ensuring efficiency, compliance and cost savings – while improving care.”
Renovo serves more than 300 clients at nearly 500 sites nationwide and is ISO 13485 certified, a quality management standard for medical devices.
