RoTractor and Ankle Distractor

Engineers at Innovative Medical Products worked with Edward De Mayo, M.D., an orthopedic consultant and surgeon, to design both the De Mayo RoTractor for shoulder arthroscopy and the De Mayo Ankle Distractor for arthroscopic surgical repair of the ankle. The line, which is focused on sports medicine, also includes positioners for knee and elbow surgeries. The RoTractor features a Tri-pull Secure Solution designed to offer better access to the surgical site and keep the shoulder in the appropriate rotated position, without assistance from the surgical staff. The system’s components include IMP’s Phase-4 Gel Splint, the IMP De Mayo Rotractor adapter and the Reznik Universal Shoulder Positioner.

The Ankle Distractor allows surgeons to access the whole ankle joint, including the posterior region, with a camera scope, allowing surgeons to make smaller incisions and reduce neurovascular damage. The design positions the ankle to face toward the surgical team, rather than toward the ceiling.
