Good communication and positive interpersonal interactions are vital in the perioperative environment to ensure patient safety, quality of care, and a supportive workplace culture. However, incivility, lateral violence, and disruptive behaviors can undermine these objectives. This presentation explores evidence-based strategies to foster civility in the perioperative setting, drawing from recent research and interventions.
