Staying Positive During the Pandemic

The good news for patients in need of outpatient surgery is that, across the country, health care providers and policymakers have recognized that elective surgery is not the same thing as optional surgery and are allowing ASCs to remain open to provide this care.

HST Pathways Launches “HST One” and “HST One+” for Surgery Centers Nationwide

HST Pathways

HST Pathways, a provider of cloud-based computing for surgical centers, has launched its premier membership program for ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), “HST One.” Through multiple offerings, ASCs will have the ability to select bundled popular products as part of their membership, with the flexibility to add on additional services as needed. The product launch comes on the heels of HST Pathways’ merger with Casetabs in November 2020, supported by a majority investment led by Bain Capital Tech Opportunities.

ASCs that enroll in HST One will have exclusive access to an end-to-end solution of integrated HST Pathways products, including HST Smart Scheduling (formerly Casetabs Smart Scheduling) and HST Practice Management, which is the company’s cornerstone ASC software. Customers will also have the option of easily upgrading to or selecting enrollment in “HST One+,” which includes all features of HST One along with full access to HST eChart, the next generation of electronic health record (EHR) software designed entirely for the ASC setting.

“HST Pathways has always been about anticipating user needs and offering a solution that goes above and beyond what’s currently available in the market,” said Tom Hui, CEO and founder of HST Pathways. “HST One is the first of its kind in the ASC market to implement a premier membership model for our clients, and we know this will prove to be an ongoing benefit for providers, patients, and ultimately, the healthcare system.”

There is a growing need for high quality information management systems at ASCs as more and more surgical procedures as being safely moved into the ASC setting, and there is increasing recognition of the important role that ASCs play in the healthcare delivery system. HST Pathways has tailored its new product offerings to meet specific ASC needs related to efficiency, scalability, security, and reliability.

In addition to including multiple ASC cloud-based software products, HST One and HST One+ memberships also include exclusive discounts for add-on features, registrations for workshops, and the annual HST User Conference, and other member benefits that will be unveiled throughout the year. HST Pathways will continue to offer limited trial versions of products through the “HST Lite” service level to allow clients an opportunity to experience the HST Pathways benefits and explore capabilities before committing to a full membership.

“With the combination of products essential to surgery center success now under one roof, we knew we had an opportunity to bring our client offerings to the next level using a model that makes it easy for ASCs to try out our products, select service bundles that align with their organizational goals, and easily add-on other capabilities and features,” said Gavin Fabian, Chief Product Officer at HST Pathways. “It made sense to implement a membership model for our clients, not only giving them access to an end-to-end solution of integrated products, but providing them with a valuable suite of membership benefits.”

The newly launched product offerings include:

  • HST Lite: Free limited use version of Schedule Sharing, patient ride texting, and more.
  • HST Essentials: HST Practice Management, plus free Schedule Sharing and patient ride texting.
  • HST One (membership): Premier membership program which includes premium full versions of Smart Scheduling and HST Practice Management, discounts on add-on products, passes for the annual user conference, and future member benefits.
  • HST One+ (membership): Premier membership program, with all benefits of HST One, plus the full version of HST eChart. Also includes larger discounts on add-on products, additional passes to workshops, passes for the annual user conference, and future member benefits.

“Savvy ASCs have long recognized the efficiencies lost from relying on outdated systems that require manual, duplicative work to sustain practices that could easily be automated and streamlined,” said Tara Vail, Chief Growth Officer at HST Pathways. “We expect HST One to be a trailblazer in revolutionizing the ASC operations and helping them reach their full potential for the communities and patients they serve.”
