Interventional radiation therapy offers significant, proven results for patients with life-threatening diseases. However, prolonged exposure to radiation in the work environment can create significant health factors forphysicians and staff who provide care. These individuals are more vulnerable to radiation-related illnesses and orthopedic issues than any other medical professional in the market today.

During this 60-minute presentation, participants will be guided through the risks of prolonged radiation exposure, learn guidelines to managing their radiation exposure in their work environment, and preview traditional and upcoming trends in radiation monitoring, including real-time dose monitoring systems.

About the presenter: Chintan Shah manages Americas marketing and sales for the Real-time Staff Dose (RTSD) business. He has been with Unfors RaySafe, a Fluke Biomedical brand, since 2011. In that time, he has gained expertise in radiation safety practices for high dose clinical medical professionals. Prior to joining RaySafe, he spent 5 years in server sales with IBM in New York City and completed his MBA at Babson College in Massachusetts. Chintan is originally from Milwaukee, WI and currently resides in Boston, MA.
