The goal of this new TIR is to introduce best practice guidance for transporting clean, disinfected, sterilized, and soiled devices across longer distances, including addressing requirements for the transport vehicles used to transport the devices. ASCA Recognizes Physicians for Outstanding Service

Dr. Lawrence Muscarella, President of LFM Healthcare Solutions LLC is an independent safety expert who advises clients about the safety of medical devices and the causes of infections in healthcare facilities, among other topics. His knowledge and expertise in hospital safety are internationally recognized. During the past 25 years, Dr. Muscarella has authored more than 200 articles on the causes and prevention of bacterial outbreaks in healthcare settings, the design and FDA-regulation of medical devices, and both the reprocessing of reusable medical devices.
