Covidien Valleylab’s RapidVac

Valleylab’s new RapidVac smoke evacuation system is designed to effectively capture and filter surgical smoke to remove odor, particulates and other potentially hazardous byproducts of electrosurgery procedures easily, effectively, economically and quietly. The system consists of the RapidVac Smoke Evacuator, which has 30 percent more power at maximum air flow than the previous model and is quieter, and the pencil-mounted AccuVacTM smoke evacuation attachment, which places electrosurgery and smoke evacuation at the surgeon’s fingertips. Its single hand design captures smoke and odors directly at the surgical site. It attaches to a Valleylab electrosurgical pencil, eliminating the need for an extra set of hands dedicated to smoke evacuation.
