This presentation will help OR teams and providers that care for orthopedic patients understand topics ranging from the mechanisms of injury to common repairs to nursing assessments to find the hidden problems that can develop with this population. We will discuss the topics and facts that help to define orthopedic trauma cases as some of the most exciting types of surgeries to be a part of. Throughout the discussion, an emphasis on evidence-based approaches to care will be prioritized and respect for the importance of a multi-disciplinary team will be emphasized.
