As we know all too well in this industry, operating room and sterile processing staff are consistently understaffed.

With all the different cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing processes that go on inside of hospitals, I find disinfection to be the most complex and complicated among them.

I have been asked quite a few times over my career whether I believe flexible endoscopes should be high-level disinfected or sterilized.

I wish I could say this was a rarity, but surgical site infections are a significant problem in the United States.
