Partnership embeds accreditation standards in policy templates now, with AI assistant and policy review tools to follow
Accreditation doesn’t happen only on survey day. A new partnership between the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and MedTrainer is designed to help ambulatory care organizations stay aligned with accreditation standards across the full cycle.
MedTrainer, a healthcare workforce compliance platform based in Las Vegas, now includes AAAHC standards in its platform. Deerfield, Illinois-based AAAHC describes itself as the largest accrediting organization for ambulatory care. Its accreditation is meant to show that an organization provides safe, high-quality care every day of the 1,095-day accreditation cycle, not just at the time of the survey.
How it works
AAAHC standards are now embedded in MedTrainer’s policy templates and will be updated as the standards change, so policies stay aligned over the full accreditation cycle. The template library works alongside the platform’s training, credential management and other compliance tools.
Over time, the companies plan to embed the standards in additional MedTrainer workflows, including its AI assistant and policy review tool. The goal is standards-aligned policies, compliance reviews and AI assistance all drawn from the same source.
“Our clients can instantly benefit from the single-source integration of AAAHC Standards directly into the customizable policy template library, while moving towards the continuous compliance readiness model,” said Brian Williams, vice president of compliance at MedTrainer.
“This partnership brings AAAHC’s ambulatory care expertise together with MedTrainer’s compliance capabilities to help organizations integrate accreditation expectations into their ongoing work,” said Noel Adachi, MBA, president and CEO of AAAHC. “We share a commitment to supporting continuous readiness and quality improvement across ambulatory care and look forward to working together to advance that mission.”
