FlexHD Meshed Expands FlexHD Reconstructive Surgery Portfolio

MTF Biologics has announced the launch of FlexHD Meshed, an extension of its FlexHD portfolio. Developed to meet the complex needs of reconstructive surgery, the pre-meshed configuration is optimized for use in soft tissue defects by addressing irregular wound geometries and accelerating coverage for efficient graft incorporation.

“FlexHD has long been a trusted resource for plastic surgeons across a wide spectrum of reconstructive needs, and we’re pleased to extend that trusted performance into a clinically distinct space. FlexHD Meshed was developed alongside the surgeons who face these cases daily – where wound geometry is unforgiving, time in the operating room is precious, and the patient has already been through enough. When the stakes are high, the tools shouldn’t add to the burden. That’s what FlexHD has always stood for, and it’s precisely why MTF Biologics exists,” said Brian Leuthner, vice president & general manager of the soft tissue, aesthetics, and reconstruction franchise.

FlexHD acellular dermis matrices (ADMs) are cut from a deeper layer of dermis and aseptically processed to ensure superior handling, clinical efficacy, and the highest level of sterility assurance. FlexHD Meshed delivers these attributes and the trusted FlexHD performance in a convenient, ready-to-use configuration. The allograft provides a structural scaffold that supports cellular repopulation and tissue integration, facilitating the reconstructive pathway for surgeons treating deep tissue injuries and complex wounds.

By eliminating the need for intraoperative preparation, the pre-meshed allograft significantly reduces time in the operating room. It was also developed to address the unique challenges of deep tissue injuries and complex soft tissue defects, providing immediate, deployable coverage that conforms readily to irregular anatomy and expands surface area coverage while promoting optimal fluid drainage. FlexHD Meshed is now available through MTF Biologics.
