Robert will describe the use and importance of pre-cleaning prior to reprocessing, as well as addressing the reprocessing and reuse of surgical instruments. Attendees will also learn how to identify methods for testing instrumentation for cleanliness.

Robert is currently the OR Nurse Manager at NYU Long Island Hospital in New York.
He has over forty years’ experience in the surgical setting. Robert has been a consultant for several companies providing education to nurses and technicians both nationally and internationally on a variety of topics.
In 2005 he won the AORN award for outstanding achievement in perioperative clinical nursing education.
He is currently a consultant to Ruhof Healthcare and continues to provide educational sessions to professional healthcare organizations.
