The recent OR Today webinar “Dispelling Myths About The Joint Commission” was sponsored by the Joint Commission.
The Joint Commission’s Sylvia Garcia-Houchins, MBA, RN, CIC, director of infection prevention and control in the division of healthcare improvement, discussed how The Joint Commission fits into the regulatory process and how evidence-based guidelines play a role in the survey process. The focus was on learning how to comply with infection control requirements. Additional insights were shared during an informative question-and-answer session.
