Halyard, now part of the Owens & Minor family and a leading global provider of solutions for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections, will offer SPD professionals the opportunity to learn and experience how they can optimize their practice and reduce surgical site infections with flexible design solutions at the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) Annual Conference & Expo. The following activities will take place from Sunday, April 28 through Wednesday, May 1 in booth #410 at the Marriott and Convention Center in Anaheim, CA:
Hands-On Simulation
WHAT: Experience an interactive tour of four streamlined and efficient hospital environments – Decontamination, Prep & Pack, Sterile Storage, and the OR. Participants will be guided through each space and learn how Halyard’s unique solutions, including SMART-FOLD* High Performance Sterilization Wrap and Belintra Storage and Transport, enable SPD professionals to increase efficiency and save space while reducing the chance for tears, cuts and holes.

In-Booth Accredited Education
WHAT: Participate in a 30-minute program providing an overview of four clinical studies that evaluate sterilization packaging systems (SPS), including rigid containers and sterilization wrap. Infection preventionist Peggy Luebbert (MS, MT, CIC, CHSP) will teach participants how to identify new potential sources of infection and explore strategies for mitigating risk.
