This 90-minute webinar will feature Rosie D. Lyles, MD, MHA, MSc.

Dr. Lyles is the Head of Clinical Affairs for the Clorox Professional Products Company where she serves as a research fellow and primary medical science liaison for the healthcare business, supporting all scientific research as well as clinical and product intervention design and development. Dr. Lyles previously served as a physician researcher and study director for multiple epidemiologic research initiatives in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Cook County Health and Hospitals System, investigating healthcare-associated infections with a particular focus on the epidemiology and prevention of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) and infections in ICU settings.

Dr. Lyles’ presentation will provide useful background information and key insights on the use of chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) products for skin cleansing and review key practice considerations for CHG bathing protocols in both intensive care units (ICU) and pre-operative settings. The presentation will review applications for CHG bathing protocol used to reduce the risk of a broad range of infections, as well as key criteria for implementing a standardized protocol and innovative ways to improve patient compliance. There will also be an opportunity for participants to ask questions.
